In 1954, a group of eight local women from Port Huron began meeting over tea and cookies to develop a new lecture series to “educate and entertain” Blue Water Area residents. They called the series Town Hall and this year is the 65th anniversary of that program’s founding.
Today, Port Huron Town Hall brings to the community nationally-known speakers, ranging from entertainers to authors and more.
This past Monday, sports broadcasting legend Mike Emrick returned to McMorran Place in downtown Port Huron, Michigan, just steps away from center ice in McMorran’s Main Arena, which, for Emrick, could be considered his home ice, the place where his legendary career began.
